Finding its lineage and origin in Marikina, a city that cultivated the culture of footwear for our lolos and lolas; titos and titas alike, Studio Josanna thrives off breathing new life into archival styles created during Marikina’s heyday.
The first of the reinventions happened when the studio’s designer Karen was toying with loose straps, winding them around her own foot and that of friends. Liking the freedom that afforded, she decided to leave the straps “unfinished” without a closure so they could be worn any which way. And the Fettuccine Sandal was born.
